Our Holiday Toy Drive begins in earnest this week end. Join us Saturday December 9th at 1 pm at Brookdale Hospital. We meet in the main lobby. On Sunday December 10 we will visit Maimonides Hospital at 12:00 pm. Meet in the main lobby. You will need a Flu shot and paperwork for same. On Saturday December 16 we will visit Winthrop Hospital in Mineola at 12:00 pm. We will be joined by our b/rothers at Mineola Lodge and Santa Clause. We will meet in the main lobby. On Monday December 18 we will visit Coney Island Hospital along with Dr Segal at 10:00 am. We will meet in the main lobby. We will be visiting with the children and their parents and hospital staff to spread some OddFellow Holiday cheer. Most parents don’t have the time or inclination to look for toys. Their concern is their children. We bring a moment of diversion, curiosity, and gets lots of smiles in return. This holiday tradition begun by Sam Gelber and Bernie Sipelstein carries forward the very essence of our creed. Take the time to join us and reap the rewards of a visit to children who would like to be anywhere but where they are. A few moments of your time, makes an enormous difference in their day.
