Sunday morning December 6th, at 10:00 am Bennett Heller, Fred Roth and Alan Rada visited <b>Maimonides Hospital Child Life Pediatric Center.</b> We were able to look in on 15 children at the hospital and all were more than pleased with our visit. Even Moms and Dads smiled as we paraded our red wagon loaded with toys down the hall. We always make a great impression and do a world of good for little kids stuck in the hospital at holiday time. At one o’clock we went to Brookdale Hospital where the Toy room was closed and only six children were at the hospital. We left all our toys with Nurse Ellis and Doctor Sy.

<b>The 2015 Toy Drive: </b>For the fourteenth year, we embark on our annual <b>Toy Drive</b>. We will bring toys to the children at Maimonides Hospital, Pediatric Center Sunday December 6th at 10:00 am. You will need to have had your flu shot and bring documentation for same. You will also have to let me know you are coming- Maimonides wants a list of all those who wish to attend, in advance. We will then move onto Brookdale Hospital at 1:00 pm.

This past Sunday beginning at 10:30 am the Marathon began. The front runners were not runners at all. The first to come down Fourth Avenue in Brooklyn, were those individuals who completed the marathon in wheelchairs. Unable to use one’s legs or not having legs is not going to stop such committed individuals. For a jump on your competition, surround your kids with wallpaper and you will have smart kids. Keep in mind “A house without wallpaper is not a home”. For one less visit to the shrink, try ice skating Sunday mornings at Prospect Park. Go round for two hours and you will have a clear, focused head. No prescription required.

All we require is a written request from each organization. This year we met at our October 19th meeting and donated over <b>$4,500.00</b> to organizations such as: Marcus Berliner Scholarship Fund, Happiness is Camping, Sloan Kettering, Alzheimer’s, ORT, Muscular Distrophy, Techion in Haifa, St Jude’s, JNF, UJA and more. For next year, if you have a charity you wish us to consider, get a written request for a donation and join us for that very consideration.
